WESTWOOD

WESTWOOD

WestwoodThe area called “Westwood” is between Westwood Lake and the Nanaimo Parkway, along Jinglepot Road’s South-eastern end. Jinglepot itself is very rural, except for here in the Westwood area, which features some nice residential subdivisions.

This area is very convenient for car owners, being a 5 or 6 minute drive from downtown Nanaimo and ten minutes from the North End. Pedestrians and cyclists aren’t too burdened, either, though there is a large hill between Westwood and ANYTHING else in Nanaimo. The buses come up here from downtown, every hour between about 7am and 11pm.

There is the local Jingle Pot Pub and General Store as well as Splitzville Entertainment, Nanaimo’s ten pin bowling and more.
